A Rolling Stone Breaks Up
/It had to be a pretty big thud when this darling freed itself from the cliff and jumped down to the road.
Might have even been a little bit startling for anyone driving by at that moment.
Nothing personal here – just a rock responding to rain, freeze-thaw cycles, the natural urge to get out on it’s own, and of course, gravity.
I pondered how the road maintenance crew was going to help this big, solid stone on its way across the road and down the cliff to the beach on the other side.
I drove by again the next day, ready to wish the rock well on it’s journey, and found….
Rock road kill! Rock guts everywhere!
Which reminded me once again: Don’t Take Life For Granite!
Live every moment, Dear Ones!
